Best of Spring

It is officially spring! Cherry blossoms have come and gone (way earlier than expected), as have the forsythia that signal the seasonal change.  Here at InteriorConnector, we have seen our vendors’ collections updated to reflect their take on what is new and next  in home design.  Here is a taste of some of most exciting trends we are spotting AND the chicest, most elegant and wonderfully crafted design that is new on the scene:

Eye-Catching Color-

Vibrant pops of color are taking hold all over-from kelly or mint green to hot pink and tangerine.  We see color manifesting itself in sleek lacquer finishes, glass and sumptuous upholstery.

The Mix-Textures, Patterns and  Materials-

We adore the counterpoint of rich wood (even cerused), patinated or other metals, horn, skins and leather and are seeing more and more in the mix (and mixed). Remember: Layer, Layer, Layer!

In the Details-

Taking the ho-hum and lackluster to the heights of  bold and breathtaking.  Details in the form of bronze or nickel sabots and hardware, fringe, tacks, tufting and scalloping all take the eye hostage

Midcentury is Marvelous-

Tufted benches, lacquered credenzas, parchment armoires all customized to fit your exact needs without sacrificing the best of the past in design or craftsmanship.

Eco- and Socially Conscious-

Reuse, reduce and recycle in style. Whether it be in the form of reusing, repurposing or reinventing materials, supporting companies that are mindful of our planet’s welfare or buying from companies manufacturing here in the USA,  you can still make a difference while living beautifully.
